Emily Harvey always knew she wanted a career working with people with disabilities. After college, Emily worked in the Prosthetics Department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center intending to become a prosthetist. This was a career that was familiar to her because she had worn a prosthetic leg since the age of two, but along the way she decided to pursue law instead. Emily attended George Mason University School of Law where she was a research editor on the Civil Rights Law Journal, which fueled her passion for disability rights. Emily is a staff attorney with Disability Law Colorado and is the Team Leader of the Intake Team. Emily is also the co-founder and president of LIM359, a nonprofit that provides an activities-based support system for people with limb loss and limb difference, Board co-chair of the Cycle of Hope, a nonprofit that provides opportunities for women who use wheelchairs, and an ambassador for Skirt Sports. In her spare time, Emily enjoys training for triathlons, reading, and spending time with her husband and friends. firstname.lastname@example.org
