Alaina Dye

Alaina joined Disability Justice in January 2026. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. She later obtained her JD, with a concentration in Public Interest Law, from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2021. During law school, Alaina served as Editor-in-Chief of the San Diego International Law Journal, authored scholarship on the right to health in immigration detention, and received Pro Bono Service Recognition with High Distinction.  

Alaina has been licensed to practice law in California since February 2022 and is licensed to practice law in Colorado. Prior to joining Disability Justice, she worked as a Staff Attorney at a nonprofit legal organization where she provided legal assistance to low-income persons in civil legal matters affecting their health and stability. She also represented foster youth in special education and school disciplinary proceedings.

Alaina is passionate about disability justice and protecting the rights of vulnerable communities. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring national parks, traveling, photography, and spending time with her family and dogs. [email protected]
