Description

After 41 years as Disability Law Colorado's Executive Director, Mary Anne Harvey retired at the end of last year. Rarely does an organization have such long-tenured executive leadership, and Mary Anne was the primary architect who envisioned and built what we know today as Disability Law Colorado. We're pleased to announce a “Celebration of Leadership & Legacy” event on Thursday, May 12th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at History Colorado Center that will celebrate Mary Anne's 41 years of leadership and legacy. We’re also excited to formally introduce our new Executive Director, Carrie Griffin Basas, at this event which provides us a unique opportunity to celebrate Disability Law Colorado’s past and future as a new era of leadership begins.

An RSVP is required for those wanting to attend. In lieu of asking guests to purchase an event ticket, DLC's Board of Directors ask that attendees make a Tribute Gift donation in celebration of Mary Anne's 41 years as Disability Law Colorado's executive director. Or consider making a Tribute Gift donation to welcome Carrie as DLC's new executive director.

Our "Celebration of Leadership & Legacy" event will welcome guests to include young and experienced attorneys, lawyers from some of Colorado's largest law firms, government officials, disability rights and elder rights advocates, nonprofit sector professionals, business executives, and community leaders.

Sponsorships are available for this event. Becoming a sponsor will be a wonderful promotional opportunity, while helping us to champion the voices of people with disabilities and older people in Colorado. Proceeds will help Disability Law Colorado increase our capacity to meet the growing demand for disability rights, residents' rights and elder rights services due in large part to the devastating impact of the pandemic.
