Katie Boraz

Katie Boraz joined Disability Law Colorado in March 2025, bringing a strong background in disability rights and health justice. She earned her undergraduate degrees in psychology and creative writing from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2011 and a master’s in secondary education from Johns Hopkins University in 2013. Before pursuing law, Katie taught middle school English with a deep commitment to supporting students with disabilities.

She earned her JD from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2023, focusing on anti-discrimination and health law. During law school, she authored scholarship on mental health crisis intervention, externed for a federal judge, and worked at a rehabilitation hospital—experiences that strengthened her dedication to systemic change. She began her legal career as a fellow at Illinois’ Protection and Advocacy organization, where she had previously interned, before returning to Colorado to continue her advocacy.
