Director of Development & Marketing
Disability Law Colorado has an immediate opening for a Director of Development and Marketing. The Director has overall responsibility for planning, implementation, documentation and evaluation of the fundraising programs. Development functions for the organization include outreach and stewardship for funds received from individual donors, foundations, business, work-place giving programs, faith-based sources and special events. The Director raises approximately $200,000 or 8% of the organization’s budget.
The Director will also coordinate staff associated with the agency’s publications. The agency currently produces five publications. There may be opportunity for additional books, support materials and complementary workshops. The customer base for current publications is stable, but with ample room to grow. With appropriate innovation and marketing strategies, it is anticipated that earned income from publications could increase from $20,000 to more than $30,000 over the next few years. The Director will provide oversight for all marketing and social media for both the publications and the development functions.
The organization seeks a development professional with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ experience with fundraising via individual donors, foundations, business, work-place giving programs, faith-based sources and special events. Understanding of business principles and experience with publications and/or publishing is preferred.
